Palenque, Chiapas, is a Magical Town approximately six hours -by road- from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, four and a half hours from Campeche and a couple of hours from Villahermosa, the capital of Tabasco.


Palenque is a small city in which some vestiges of that Colonial past are preserved. Tuxtla Gutiérrez

Tuxtla Gutiérrez is the heart of Chiapas that beats to the rhythm of the marimba. It is the city that receives the most tourists in this state located in the south of Mexico and where it is still possible to know the richness of the Zoque and Tzotzil culture and the benefits of the jungle, which makes its way between deep canyons and torrential waterfalls.

Its popular festivals, ceremonies and processions are part of the history of San Cristóbal de las Casas, whose origins date back to the beginning of the year 1500.

From the top of its streets, its baroque and neoclassical buildings stand out, such as the Cathedral of San Cristóbal Mártir, built more than four centuries ago, and the Ex-Convent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, which was built a few years later and in which its highlights detailed ornamental patterns, which are sure to catch your eye and take you several minutes to fully appreciate when in front of them.


San Cristóbal de las Casas is located just one hour from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. So that you can make a better decision for your next trip, between the months of January and April, and from November to December, this Magical Town has an excellent climate. The rainiest months are from June to September.
